Webinar: Why we need to more about Sepsis – in partnership with the UK Sepsis Trust

The Safety For All campaign is calling for a greater discussion around sepsis.

5 people die with sepsis every hour in the UK. Without quick treatment it can lead to multiple organ failure and death. Sepsis often goes undiagnosed and it is important to raise awareness of the symptoms and what to look out for in order to reduce the number of sepsis-related death.

As part of the campaign, we hosted a webinar on the topic of sepsis, in partnership with the UK Sepsis Trust. Attendees had a chance to hear from Dr Ron Daniels, Founder & Joint CEO of UK Sepsis Trust and Melissa Mead, whose son, William, died from sepsis in 2014 and has campaigned to raise awareness of the issue since.

There were over 130 attendees and lots of engagement in the chat. The presentations given were both informative and emotional and highlighted the importance of always ‘thinking Sepsis’.
