Safety For All Conference 2022
The Safety for All Conference 2022 will focus on improving patient and staff safety and will be held at the Royal College of Physicians from 09:00 – 16:00 on 7th December 2022.
The conference will feature keynote addresses including: Ian Bullock – Chief Executive, RCP, Dr Henrietta Hughes – Patient Safety Commissioner, Dr Pat Cullen – General Secretary & Chief Executive, RCN, Dr Rosie Benneyworth – Interim Chief Investigator, HSIB.
The agenda features several different sessions across the day and will include a mix of presentations and panel discussions on topics such as speaking up for safety, staff safety following the pandemic, the persistence of avoidable harm in the NHS and workplace stress. Attendees will have the chance to hear from key opinion leaders, staff on the frontline and patients with experience of the issues discussed. There will be opportunity for networking and further discussions between attendees.
The Safety for All campaign was launched in 2021 and is focused on driving improvements in and between Healthcare Worker Safety and Patient Safety, highlighting how poor staff safety standards and practice impact adversely on patient safety and vice versa. It is championing the need for a systematic and integrated approach to improve safety practice for staff and patients across the health and social care so that the sum is greater than the parts. Patient and healthcare worker safety are two sides of the same coin.
The conference is free to attend and lunch and refreshments will be provided. However, attendees will need to arrange and meet the costs of their own travel and other expenses.
